Peter "Pistil" Maravich

Peter “Pistil” Maravich was one of the best NBA basketball players ever. He was born on June 22, 1947 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He attended college at LSU and was a three time all American there. Also one amazing fact is that he achieved all his records before the three point line was introduced to the game of basketball. Then to go with some of his achievements he was the youngest player ever to be inducted into the hall of fame. In his NBA career he had a scoring average of 24.2 points per game. Pete was also a five time NBA all star, and was first team all-pro in the years 1976- 1977. Pete died suddenly in a pickup game of basketball January 5, 1988, and his death was because of a undetected heart defect. The tragedy of Pete’s death struck the United States, and just like that one of the greatest NBA basketball players was dead.
Pete Maravich has probably had a shorter life than other, but before his death people had gotten enough information about him to make a movie. The movie about Pete is call Pistil the Birth of a Legend, and the movie is about Pistil’s high school years.

If you are ever looking for an amazing dunker Blake Griffin is the man to see, once he jumped over a car in the 2011 Sprite Slam Dunk contest. Blake can jump an outstanding 37” of the ground that is 3’ 1”, so that explains how he is one of the best dunkers ever. If you add Griffin’s height with his vertical jump it is 9 feet 11 inches, plus his arm length and that would mean he could get his head about as high as the rim. Griffin probably got his Athleticism from his father who was outstanding in track and basketball, and his father coached Blake in his high school years of basketball. Blake Griffin Also has an older brother that plays basketball for the Phoenix Suns named Taylor Griffin. Blake’s favorite basketball players when he was growing up were Shaquille O’ Neal and Michael Jordan, and his favorite team was the Phoenix Suns.
